Lar–Mex Inc. removed and replaced a 400 ton chiller with a new Magnetic Bearing SMARDT chiller in the basement of the Hotel through a manhole on the side of the road. The complete demotion of the old chiller and installation of the new chiller took 2 weeks from the time the existing chiller was offline to when the new chiller was started up. The general work was completed following the start-up of the chiller. We also changed out the Chilled water circulating pumps, Steam to water Heat exchanger and added a proper Glycol system with expansion tanks for the heating and cooling side of the system.
